Domestic removals
Moving home can be a stressful experience. By choosing the right mover you will relieve yourself of much of the associated stress.
At Top Removals we have a team of trained uniformed professionals who aim to make your moving day pass with ease. As well as being competent furniture movers our staff are courteous, helpful and polite.
We operate a fleet of specialist removal vehicles complete with transit blankets, trolleys and webbing. We also offer a full packing and unpacking or self packing services on competitive rates with the option to buy all the packaging needed which can be delivered right in front of your door.
Our services include furniture removals, house removals, office removals, home removals, moving boxes, household moves, single item or full load, whether moving from or to Greater London, or all of the UK. Over the years we have had the pleasure of moving many customers, many of who have moved with us not just once. We pride ourselves in offering not only the highest standards set by the industry, but also at the best price.
There are important issues that need to be addressed in the process of organising the removal service. At Top Removals we would like to pay attention to some of it:
Access
Access to and from the doorway of your homes is critical; please advise your neighbours in advance that a removal vehicle will be parked outside your home. If parking permits are required, this is your responsibility.
Clothing
Any clothing already on hangers may remain on them, as we will provide special wardrobe cartons into which these clothes will be packed (optional).
Contents of garages / sheds / loft
Under no circumstances will we move any flammable substances, old tins of paint, creosote, paraffin, matches, gas bottles or similar items as these invalidate any insurance cover.
Cookers/Washing Machines/Fridges & Freezers
These should be disconnected, drained and dried prior to removal. Fridges/freezers should be emptied. Our moving teams are forbidden to tamper with any mains supply.
Fixtures & Fittings (curtains/blinds etc.)
All of these should be taken down prior to the arrival of our moving team.
Presence during the removal
It is your responsibility to be present throughout the removal to ensure that nothing that should be removed is left behind and nothing is taken away in error.
Self Assembly Furniture (wardrobes/beds/sheds/greenhouse etc.)
It is your responsibility to dismantle and re-assemble this type of furniture. However should you require assistance please advice us and we can include this service as well.
- Every customer has a dedicated removal assistant that is on hand at every stage of the move process, to help make your removal go as smoothly as possible.
- Every member of our operational team has undergone in-house training carried out by our experienced foremen. Staff are trained in correct lifting methods, specialist packing techniques and correct methods of loading removal vehicles. Our staff also realise that politeness, helpfulness and courtesy are imperative at all times.
- In order to monitor customer satisfaction we ask every customer to complete a quality questionnaire after we have carried out their move. We are proud to say that since that scheme has been introduced in January 2007, 95% of our customers have rated our service as "Good", "Very Good" or "Excellent".
- Our fleet of specialist removal are kept clean and are kitted out with adequate transit protection blankets, webbing and the necessary barrows and trucks.
